# About

### About the TransCap Initiative

The TransCap Initiative works at the nexus of real-economy systems change and finance. Our mission is to build the field of systemic investing—a new investment logic for funding systems transformation. We do so by running an open innovation space for developing, testing, and scaling systemic investing through research, prototyping, and field building. You can learn more about our work on our [website](http://www.transformation.capital/).

### Authorship & Citation

The content presented on this website is the product of a collective effort. The main authors are the [core team](https://transformation.capital/people) members of the [TransCap Initiative](https://transformation.capital/). That said, in developing systemic investing, making it actionable in practice (including through the publication of this website), and building its field, we have borrowed and built upon the ideas and outputs of others. Wherever warranted and possible, we have tried to reference, cite, and link to the original work of others. Where we have failed to do so properly, we apologize and ask you to [let us know](mailto:community@transformation.capital) so that we can correct the error.

### Acknowledgements

We are grateful to the Wolfensohn Family Foundation for supporting the development and production of the Systemic Investing Practice Guide. We also thank the funders and partners of the [TransCap Initiative](http://www.transformation.capital/), who made the theoretical and practical work which the Practice Guide draws on possible in the first place.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://transcap-initiative.gitbook.io/systemic-investing-practice-guide/systemic-investing-practice-guide/about.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
